Assumption Regional Catholic School is seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers to join our school family for the 2026–2027 school year.

 

Our Substitute Teachers play an important role in maintaining a positive, nurturing, faith-filled, and engaging learning environment when a classroom teacher is absent. We are looking for individuals who share our commitment to Catholic education and who will encourage our students to learn, grow, and live out our values each day.

 

Qualifications

  • A valid New Jersey Substitute Teaching Certificate or New Jersey Teaching Certificate is recquired.

  • VIRTUS trained and committed to maintaining a safe environment for our students.

  • Successful completion of required background checks and fingerprinting.

  • A strong commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.Dependable, flexible, professional, and enthusiastic.

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • A genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children.

 

Responsibilities

  • Follow lesson plans and classroom routines provided by the regular classroom teacher.

  • Provide a safe, respectful, and structured learning environment.

  • Engage students in meaningful educational activities.

  • Maintain classroom expectations and promote positive behavior.

  • Support the academic, social, and spiritual growth of our students.

  • Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administration.

  • Serve as a positive role model for our students.
