Welcome to Assumption Regional Catholic School
“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14
Dear Assumption Regional Catholic School Families,
It is with great joy and gratitude that I welcome you to another wonderful school year at Assumption Regional Catholic School!
Every new school year brings with it a sense of possibility—a fresh beginning, new friendships, new challenges, new discoveries, and countless opportunities to grow. At Assumption, we believe that education is about far more than what happens inside a classroom. It is about forming hearts, inspiring minds, nurturing faith, and empowering young people to recognize the unique gifts God has given them.
Our theme this year, “Let all that you do be done in love,” beautifully captures who we are and who we strive to become as a school community. We want love to be evident in the way we teach, the way we learn, the way we serve, and the way we care for one another. We want our students to know that they are deeply valued—not simply for what they accomplish, but for who they are as children of God.
At Assumption, our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to creating an environment where every child can belong, believe, learn, and thrive. Through faith, academic rigor, encouragement, and collaboration, we challenge our students to reach their full potential while providing the support and compassion they need along the way.
This year, we are especially excited to introduce new opportunities that will enrich our students' educational experiences. Our students in grades K–5 will begin using Amplify Reading, strengthening literacy skills while helping children become confident, capable, and enthusiastic readers. In grades 6–8, our new PRIDE writing component will help students develop their voices as writers, thinkers, and communicators.
We are also embracing new and exciting possibilities through technology. Programs such as Magic of the Mouse Radio Live 365 give our students opportunities to explore creativity, communication, technology, and leadership while discovering new ways to share their talents and voices with the world.
Yet, as exciting as these new programs are, we know that the true strength of Assumption lies in something much deeper: Our People and Our Faith.
It is in the teacher who sees potential in a child who may not yet see it in themselves.
It is in the classmate who reaches out with kindness.
It is in the family who partners with us in their child's education.
It is in the student who discovers that faith gives them courage to try, to persevere, and to serve others.
This is Assumption. This is our school family.
To our returning families, thank you for entrusting your children to us and for being such an important part of our community. Your partnership, prayers, and support make our school stronger.
And to families who are considering Assumption for the first time, we invite you to come and experience our school for yourself. Walk through our doors. Meet our teachers. See our students learning and growing. Feel the warmth of our community. Discover a school where your child will be known, supported, challenged, and loved.
We believe that choosing a school is one of the most important decisions a family makes. We would be honored to welcome your family into ours.
Schedule a tour. Come meet us. Come see what makes Assumption special.
As we begin this new school year, let us move forward together—with faith in our hearts, excellence in our classrooms, compassion in our actions, and love in everything we do.
May God bless our students as they learn and grow, our families as they support and encourage them, and our faculty and staff as they share their gifts each day.
May this be a year of faith, discovery, courage, achievement, friendship, and joy.
And may we always remember:
“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14
With prayers, gratitude, and great excitement for the year ahead,
Sincerely,
Ms. Joanne McKnight, M.Ed
Principal
